In Loving Memory of Stephen Lewis Rogers Stephen Lewis Rogers, aged 63, of Palmetto, Florida, gained his wings on February 23, 2026. Born in Manatee County, Stephen attended Palmetto High School and went on to become an electrician by trade.
Stephen had a deep love for the water. Whether he was fishing with friends, crabbing, or taking his grandchildren for a Sunday afternoon ride, he found joy and peace on the water in his boat. His passion for the sea was matched only by his love for a good night of pool with his friends.
Stephen was preceded in death by his beloved mother Sarah Carolyn Rogers. Stephen is survived by his father, William Rogers, Sr., and his siblings: Lynn Haile, Billy, and Debbie Rogers, and Keith and Christina Rogers. He leaves behind his two children, Julia and Tyler, and four cherished grandchildren: Haleigh, Ashton, Troy, and Shylah. Details for a celebration of Stephen's life are to be determined. His family and friends will gather to honor his memory and share stories of the joy he brought to those around him. Stephen’s love for life will be dearly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
