Reuben Parker Obituary

Reuben Parker, a life long resident of DeSoto County was born September 21, 1923 in Nocatee, Florida to Lorenza Parker and Eloise Robinson-Parker.  He attended school in Nocatee and later began a career as a crew leader transporting worker to other states.  He also worked as a crew leader for Sorrells Brothers in Arcadia.  During these difficult times many would migrate to other states for work during the summer months.  Deacon Parker was a faithful member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.

In 2018 he met and married Tanya Lanette Hall in a lovely ceromony officiated by his pastor.  Deacon Parker leaves to mourn his wife, Tanya (Arcadia); sisters Ethel Wells and Rosa Thomas (Nocatee). Eleven nieces, nine nephews and numerous great nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.  Step children Shanique, Ryan, Brandon, Danny, Deanna, destiny and Boss.   His father Lorenza, mother Eloise, sister Corine, Minnie, Willie Mae, Katie and brother Thomas preceded him in death.
