Laura Kay Albritton passed into the arms of her Lord and began her beautiful, eternal journey on July 16, 2024, at the age of 76, following a brief illness. She was born May 19, 1948, to Howard & Eva (née Smeal) Moriarty in Philipsburg, PA. After moving to Bradenton, FL, Laura graduated from Southeast High School in 1966. She was a stay-at-home mother for many years before beginning her career in security dispatch. She enjoyed living in Seymour, TN for 25 years and was living in Dothan, AL at the onset of her illness.
She joins in Heaven her parents, husband, Willie A. Albritton, Jr., and stillborn son, Aaron.
Laura found great joy in relationships. She formed and maintained many long-term friendships throughout her life including people from high school, co-workers, and neighbors. She had a personality that encouraged everyone to share their life stories with her. She invested herself deeply in her family and was an amazing daughter, sister and aunt.
In her forties, Laura taught herself to paint by watching Bob Ross. She developed her talent and created a prolific catalog of artwork. She often gifted these to loved ones and many still treasure those gifts.
Laura is survived by her daughter, Adrianne Dyer (Dave); her grandchildren: Cassianne Howell (Austin), Addison Ward, Wyeth Ward and Makenna Dyer; her siblings: Daniel Moriarty (Michelle), Roger Moriarty (Patti) and Nancy Hornsby; very dear nieces and nephews: John Moriarty (Becky), Lynnell Idigpio (Joshua), Joel Moriarty, and Lindsey Bell (Steven). Her lifelong friend, William J. Tharpe, who is also left to grieve her absence deeply. Following her wishes, there will be no services.
