Joseph Charles Valentin was born on November 14th, 1934 in Gonaives, Haiti to Oez Valentin and Jezela Edourd. He attended and finished schooling in Haiti as well as graduating High School there as well. Joseph moved to the United States for better working and living opportunities in 1984, at the age of 50. He lived in Bradenton, FL before permanently moving to Homestead, FL, where he worked as a construction worker and in the fields for 10+ years before completely retiring in 2005. Joseph had moved back to Bradenton, FL to be closer to family after having been diagnosed with early stage Dementia, to be cared for by his children and grandchildren a month before his death. Joseph was a man of ambition and great strengths, who loved his family dearly. He leaves fond memories to his children: Frida Valentin, MarieTan Valentin, Alunvie Valentin, Tina Valentin, Criman Valentin, Carol Valentin, Wallace Valentin, Walkes Valentin, Oez Valentin Jr, Anyes Valentin, AD Valentin, Claire Valentin, Blun, Papi, Jesiman Valentin, Veyo Valentin, Jean Valentin, Rosemica Valentin, Anocia Valentin, Gislaine Valentin, Yanick Valentin, Jean Valentin II (Kj), Natasha Valentin, Jonas Valentin, Magalie Valentin. Grandchildren: Calos Clerveau, Wislaine Clerveau, Jacqueline Jean, Jessica Valentin, Ashley Seide, Jean Hyppolyte, Keegan, Deavon, Natalie (Bianca), Peyton, Jean Valentin III (Kj Jr.), Josiah, Monteya, Joshua, Anexine, Anocion, Midno, Naomi, Annie Soto, Don Soto, Valerie, Jessica, Deborah, Jeff, Finley,  Anyo Valentin, Brittany Valentin, Frankel Valentin, Keyana Valentin, Brandon Valentin, Jilda Valentin. Great-grandchildren: Jasmine Durogene, Maddison Durogene, Sanaa Brewer, Aiyana McQueen, Joshua Roy Jr., Justice Ya’el Ramos, Damian Clerveau, Aiden Clerveau, Sariah Valentin, Malachi Valentin, Neveah Valentin and a host of friends and family members.  Visitation will be held 6-8pm Friday, October 7, 2016 with Celebration of Life Service 10am Saturday, October 8, 2016 (both at Happy Gospel Church) 1915 53rd Avenue East Bradenton, Florida 34203 with burial to follow service.
