James(Pop) E Byrd Jr. He was born on 6/26/1949 in Bradenton, Fl to Elizabeth Wesley and the late James R Byrd Sr. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Reginald Wesley, Roger Byrd and sister, Brenda Barnes. He graduated from Southeast High School. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a strong believer of the word of God. He loved the Lord, and lived an example of the teachings of the Father. There was never a time that he was sharing the blessing of the Lord. He enjoyed playing his piano and singing hymnals. He worked at Midway Groves as a juicer for many years and he worked at WPI for 15 years until his retirement. James was called home to continue his work and play the piano of the Lord in heaven on August 10, 2021.​James, aka, Pop or Uncle Pop is survived by his siblings, Lula Willams, Michael(Lisa) Wesley, Carolyn Sanders, Tommy Caldwell all of Tallevast, Fl. Evelyn (Joel) Johnson of Bradenton, Fl, Brenda(Nelson) Page, Jacksonville, Fl, Linda(Rico) Lopez, Palmetto, Fl, Montez Barnes, Anna Wilson, Miami, Fl, Margaret Lewis, Ruskin, Fl, Harold Byrd of Texas; Aunts, Shirley Ward of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl, Nanny Byrd, Marietta, GA, Luille Pearl Crouthers, Lillie Ruth, Vidalia, GA, Evelyn Byrd, Macon, GA; Uncles: Nathaniel Ward, Tallevast, Fl ,Thomas Byrd, Vidalia, GA; host of nieces, nephews, cousins and his closest friends, Robert Castleberry, Ms. Jean Moreland and Mazzie Davis.
