Edward L. Dillard was born on December 10, 1962 in Sarasota, Florida.

Edward was a graduate of Sarasota High School and worked many years for some of the finest restaurants in both Sarasota and Manatee Counties. He was known as the Life of the party, dancer of the family and the only one to carry many nicknames: “The Gas Light King, Collard Green and I Cool were just a few of them. On Monday, February 7, 2022 Edward answered the Master’s call and entered into eternal rest leaving to cherish his memories, his Daughter: Edsha Dillard of Georgia; Mother: Pearline Dillard, Sisters: Barbara Battie, Addie (Robert) Williams, Loretta (Oliver) Lilly, Betty (Elder James) Watson, Anita Jackson, Mardell (Dennis) Newman, Beverly (Gerald) Gantt and Stephanie Butler; Brothers: Jerome Grant, Pastor Willie J. (Simone) Collins and Terry Collins; A host a nieces, nephews and good friend Mr. Terry Bonner.
