Charolette Yvonne Petrie

Charolette Yvonne Starkey Petrie (nee Cornelius) was born in Williamsburg, KY on December 12, 1944 to Claude and Edna (nee Early) Cornelius.  She is survived by her children Joe Starkey, Tracy (Gil) Cordova, Lisa Starkey, and Heather (Billy) Elam; her 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Sheilah (Bob) Adams and Marcie (Tim) Brady.  Charolette was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Edward Petrie, her son, Gregory Steven Petrie, her parents, and siblings Audrea Brinkman and  Bill Cornelius.

Charolette enjoyed life between Cincinnati, Kentucky and Florida, her dogs, shopping thrift stores and social time playing cards, but will always be remembered as an orchestrator of family events.  She dreamed of having her children living close to her and succeeded in that dream most of her life. 

There will be a Visitation service at Tredway - Pollitt - Staver Funeral Home, 2131 Cameron Ave., Norwood, OH on Saturday, March 27th at 1:00 pm.  A Celebration of Life service will follow at another facility for close family and friends that wish to attend. 

There will be a brief graveside service officiated by Croley Funeral Home in Williamsburg, KY on Sunday, March 28th at 1:00 pm, followed by the burial at Highland Cemetery in Williamsburg, KY. 

In lieu of cut flowers, please bring a potted flowering plant to the Celebration of Life service and they will be planted in memory of Charolette across several gardens.
