Charles W Blaisdell

Charles W. Blaisdell, of Ellenton, FL passed unexpectedly in his sleep at home on March 20, 2022. The family is deeply saddened by his sudden death. He was born February 25, 1955 in Elizabeth, NJ. The family moved to Cream Ridge, NJ when he was three, and spent most of his formative years residing there at “Nine Pines”. As a youth, you could almost always find him tinkering and racing his go cart or old pick up around the fields on the farm. He attended and graduated from Allentown High School, and lived in New Jersey for the majority of his life.

Chuck as he was known to most, loved to work on and race his Camaro at Englishtown and Atco speedways, earning many trophies along the way. He was an avid collector of matchbox and slot cars as well, building many models over the years. He loved to spend summers with his father at the family cabin on Schroon Lake in New York.

Most of his professional career he was employed by the State of New Jersey, Department of Labor as a network administrator. His aptitude for building and working on computers, was mostly self-taught and he thoroughly enjoyed the stimulation and sense of accomplishment it provided. Upon his retirement, he moved to Ellenton, FL to enjoy the sunshine and lack of snow!

Anyone who knew Chuck was touched by his sense of humor, kindness and mild temperament. He loved animals, and he considered his cats his immediate family, having never been married. He loved to crack corny jokes and tease his nieces and nephews.

Chuck was predeceased by his parents; Richard W. Blaisdell and Diane M. Wiley. The oldest of six siblings, he is survived by: Candice Ohler of Ellenton, FL; Elizabeth Breault-Suggs of Parrish, FL; Bruce Blaisdell of Summerfield, FL; Susan Long of Bridgeton, NJ; Christine Rodkey of Walterboro, SC; along with step-sister Cindy Ruffo of New Gretna, NJ.

His many surviving nieces and nephews include: JoAnn Breault-Johnson of Austin, TX; Karissa Foster of Bordentown, NJ; Krystal Parsons of Edisto Island, SC; Allissa Long of Westborough, MA; Bradley Ohler of Bradenton, FL; Sedona Breault of VT; Amanda Lebow of Winter Park, FL; James Rodkey of Spring Hill, TN; Joseph Blaisdell of Summerfield, FL; Cassidy Long of Jupiter, FL and Joanna Coates of New Gretna, NJ.
