Carlton E Boyce, Sr. was born on January 17, 1956 in Sarasota, Fl to the late Laura M Davis and Carlisle Boyce. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James “Jimmy” Calloway, Walter Davis, Jr. and sisters, Valerie Boyce and Pamela Davis. He was educated in the Sarasota County School system and he worked at the Sarasota/Bradenton airport for over 25 years until his retirement. He enjoyed watching football, laughing in the yard with family and he loved listening to all genres of music. He accepted Christ at an early age and he understood the power of the Lord. He loved his wife and family; because of his giving heart, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. On September 1, 2021, God called His soldier and son home to rest in the comfort of His arm.
Carlton, who was known by those who love him as “Salt”, is survived by his loving wife,Wanda Boyce, his children, Tabetha(Jerome) Pittman, North Port, Fl; Carlton Boyce, Sarasota, Fl; Valerie(Willie) Lane, Lernard Boyce, Tallevast, Fl and Felicia Boyce, Valdosta, GA. 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, a mother-in law, Lula Williams and a special grandmother, Elizabeth Wesley, his brother, Ralph(Debra) Gaines, Ocala, Fl; sisters, Ardis “Lynette” Davis and Audrey Davis, Sarasota, Fl; brothers-in law, Leroy Edwards, Tallevast, Fl and George Williams, Jr Sarasota, Fl; sisters in law, Lorraine(Jeff) Kates, Bradenton, Fl; Queen “Tina” Pettway and Cheri Pettway, Tallevast, Fl; Eva(Sam)White and Angela Harris, Sarasota, Fl, aunts: Carolyn Sanders, Betty Lou Watson, Mazzie Davis, Lisa Wesley all of Tallevast, Fl, Evelyn( Joel) Johnson and Ethel(Harry) Robinson of Bradenton, Fl; Brenda(Nelson) Page, Jacksonville, Fl and Linda(Rico) Lopez, Palmetto, Fl; uncles, Tommy Caldwell, Tallevast, Fl, and Daniel Davis, Ocala, Fl; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and his best friend and brother in law, Thomas “ Junebug” Davis. The service will be “A Virtual Memorial Homegoing Service” via Zoom on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 5pm EST, The link will be posted on the family’s private Facebook page and texted to anyone who doesn’t have access to Facebook.
