Walter "Bunk" Wortham

Walter "Bunk" Junior Wortham was born May 26, 1926 in Palmetto, Florida to parents Guy and Viola Davis Wortham.  He was educated by the Manatee County School System and after graduation, he worked as cook for Blake Medical Center for some time and later moved to Miami, Florida where he stayed for 30+ years.  Bunk returned to Manatee County during his later years.  He loved watching television and working on puzzle word finds.  He was a member of New Life General Baptist Church and was a true outdoors man who enjoyed sitting in the park.  Bunk is preceded in death by his parents and leaves cherished memories to his sister Shelley Davis of Palmetto, Florida and a host of loving nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.  Homegoing Celebration will be held 11am Saturday, February 23, 2019 at New Life General Baptist Church 609 9th Street West Palmetto, Florida 34221.
