Scott Michael Hoyt was born October 27, 1975 in Indianapolis Indiana. He was blessed to be adopted by two loving parents Mike and Kathy Hoyt when he was just eight days old. He was your typical happy, joyful, inquisitive child who grew up knowing he was loved by many. He was in the gifted program in elementary school. Scott played baseball, football and basketball and was very competitive in each sport. He loved playing his guitar and music (that his mom didn't always approve of). Scott spent many days with his grandparents (Gerry and Phil Middleton) and was the light of their lives. He and granpa Phil were always "building stuff" and were each others mutual admiration society. His doting Aunt Mary Ann loved him to the moon and back. His uncle Greg and Aunt Ginger and cousins Chad, and Chris Kelliher didn't see him often due to distance, but the cousins always found a way to reconnect. Scott graduated from Avon High School in Avon, Indiana and during his Florida days, he loved watching movies and wrestling. He enjoyed Wii bowling with his grandmother. Scott sometimes chose a difficult path as he became a teenager and adult which lead to internal demons that he struggled with to the end of his days. Scott leaves behind his loving mother: Kathy and a son: Alex. He had a heart of gold and loved his mother and family the best way he knew how. Scott will be deeply missed.
A Mother's Tribute to her Beloved Son:
Written By: Kathy Kelliher
My beloved son was taken from me at the age of barely 43.
Why God didn't you take me?
First my mother and now my son
How can I make it through the holidays without these loved ones?
I believe he is in the arms of the Lord
Of which this is his just reward.
I don't know how I am supposed to go on without my precious son
Except to hope I will see him again when my days are done.
